
Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between our R&D efforts and mass production, ensuring the seamless transition of innovative designs into high-quality, cost-effective products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical or manufacturing engineering background, with a proven track record of supporting R&D in prototyping, sourcing manufacturers, implementing rigorous quality control processes, and optimizing manufacturing for both cost and aesthetics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

R&D Support:
- Collaborate closely with the R&D team to provide manufacturing expertise during the design and prototyping phases.
- Assist in the development and fabrication of prototypes, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide feedback on designs regarding manufacturing feasibility, material selection, and tolerance considerations.

Manufacturer Sourcing & Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suitable manufacturing partners based on quality, cost, and capacity.
- Negotiate contracts and establish clear quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Manage relationships with manufacturers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.3

Quality Control & Assurance:
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for sampling and mass production.
- Establish and maintain measurement engineering tolerances and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Analyze and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Manufacturing Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
- Optimize manufacturing processes for both cost and aesthetic considerations.
- Apply knowledge of various manufacturing methods (e.g., machining, molding, casting) to select the most appropriate techniques.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations.

Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and supplier information.
- Prepare regular reports on manufacturing performance, quality metrics, and cost analysis.
- Provide clear and concise communication to all stake holders.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.

Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of measurement engineering tolerances, manufacturing methods, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis).
- Experience in sourcing and managing manufacturing partners.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., Welding, 3D Printing, Stamping, Fiber Carbon or fiberglass composite mold, CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
