
Electrical Engineer – Robotics (Wiring & Harness Specialist)
LeonLegion is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with a strong background in robotics to join our dynamic team. This role will be crucial in designing, developing, and documenting wiring diagrams and wire harnesses for our advanced robotic systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical systems, robotics, and harness design best practices, and will be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3+ years years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on robotics and wire harness design.

Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and power systems.

Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and wire harness design principles

Experience with robotics systems and components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.

Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to electrical systems

Experience with designing and building electrical systems for complex projects.

Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wiring Diagram Design:
• Develop detailed and accurate wiring diagrams for complex robotic systems, including power distribution, signal routing, and control circuitry.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) to create and maintain electrical schematics.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Wire Harness Design:
• Design custom wire harnesses for robotic applications, considering factors such as space constraints, environmental conditions, and signal integrity.
• Select appropriate connectors, wires, and shielding materials to meet performance requirements.
• Create detailed harness fabrication drawings and documentation.
• Optimize harness design for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Robotics System Integration:
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrate electrical systems into robotic platforms.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during system integration and testing.
• Support the installation and commissioning of robotic systems.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of wiring diagrams, wire harnesses, and electrical system designs.
• Generate technical reports and presentations to communicate design decisions and project progress.
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical components.

Component Selection:
• Research and select appropriate electrical components, including connectors, sensors, actuators, and power supplies.
• Evaluate component specifications and performance characteristics to ensure compatibility with system requirements.

Testing and Validation:
• Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance and reliability of electrical systems and wire harnesses.
• Perform electrical testing, including continuity testing, voltage measurements, and signal integrity analysis.
